And for traveling outside of the metroplex, Northwood Hills is an easy 15-mile drive to Dallas Love Field or 21-mile drive to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy a bike, jogging, and nature trail that runs along White Rock Creek from Northwood Hills to White Rock Lake and the Spring Valley Athletic Association offers children's soccer, football, basketball, and baseball leagues in Fretz Park and Northwood Hills Elementary School.
