Saginaw Real Estate

The northern Tarrant County city of Saginaw boasts a rapidly growing population (from 12,374 residents in 2000 to 17,701 in mid-2005) while maintaining the small town atmosphere that's attracted families and businesses for more than 100 years.

Located just north of Fort Worth, Saginaw has easy access to NE Loop 820 or Interstate 35W for a quick drive to that city's renowned shopping, restaurants, and museums. Saginaw is also a short trip to the entertainment capitol of Arlington, home to the Texas Rangers baseball team, Six Flags Over Texas, and Hurricane Harbor, as well as other attractions and amenities.

Anglers love the great fishing at nearby Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth, and golfers appreciate the top notch facilities at the Golf Club at Fossil Creek and Eagle Mountain Country Club. The city offers a wealth of services and facilities, including the Saginaw Recreation Center, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, a community center, a public library, a senior center, and, opening in May 2007, an aquatic center. For outdoors lovers, there are seven city parks, some of which include playground equipment for the physically challenged, as well as tranquil jogging trails and scenic picnic areas.

The City of Saginaw is served by the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District. The two high schools in the district are Boswell High School and Saginaw High School. For college students, there's the nearby Tarrant County College Northwest Campus.

Opportunities for homeownership are plentiful, with new subdivisions such as Creekwood, Chisholm Ridge, Liberty Crossing, Innsbrook Place, Cheyenne Ridge, Trailwood, and Alexandra Meadows. There is a wealth of homes available in the $100s to $300s, as well as some higher-end custom homes in the $400s to $1 million-plus range. According to the 2000 census, the median household income was $55,549 and the median home value was $85,000.
